Meet Patty

My story is rooted in Nebraska and shaped by service.

I was born and raised in Nebraska, and this community has always been my foundation. It is where my husband Loel and I raised our three kids, where I built my career as an attorney, and where I have spent decades working to improve life for families, children, and neighbors.

From 2015 through 2022, I served as State Senator for District 28. During my two terms, I worked to expand educational opportunities, improve protections for children, strengthen juvenile justice, and support stronger communities across our state. That work grounded me in how real change happens — through listening, building relationships, and focusing on the issues that affect people’s daily lives.

In 2022, I stepped forward to run for Congress. I traveled across Nebraska, listening to families, workers, and community leaders. That experience deepened my understanding of the challenges we face and strengthened my commitment to finding solutions here at home.

After leaving office, I stayed engaged in civic life. I supported schools and nonprofits and worked alongside community leaders to keep Nebraska moving forward. Through it all, I have carried the same belief that guided me in the Legislature: politics should serve people, not division.

What matters most to me is ensuring every person feels seen, heard, and valued. That is the Nebraska I believe in, one built on fairness and kindness. It is why I am running again, and it is the spirit I will bring with me every day I serve.

Compassion, integrity, collaboration, and hope are the principles that shape everything I do. They guide how I lead, how I listen, and how I work to build a Nebraska where every person feels seen and valued.

This campaign is powered by people who share that vision of fairness, opportunity, and community. Together, we can shape Nebraska’s future, and I would be honored to have you on this team.
